Profits Check   Related Issues   Profits Check Help Manuals   From the file you downloaded, self extracting or otherwise, you will find a set of files which you need to install.   You will need to have read & write permission to your C:\ drive. If you do not have these permissions, call Storecheck on 01753 648800 for assistance.   You need to do the installation in the order described here.   If you have other .NET applications on your PC you can probably jump to the mySQL ODBC Driver installation and then continue from there.   Windows Installer This needs to be on your PC, but you may have installed it before, but it does no harm if you re install it, and it does not take long. In Windows explorer find and double click WindowsInstaller-KB884016-v2-x86.exe and you will get this. However if you get this, just jump to installing the dot Net framework. Read the warnings and follow them to your judgement, and then click and you will get this. Print the License Agreement if you want, but make sure you agree, , and then click You will get a form with a progress bar for a short length of time, and then you will get this. Click and the Windows Installer is there.   dot Net Framework In Windows explorer find and double click dotnetfx.exe and you will get this. If the dot Net framework has already been installed on your PC you will get this. Click and you will be asked for confirmation by this. Click and you will get this, which you should close and then jump to mySQL ODBC Driver installation.   If you do need to install the dot Net framework you will get this. Click and you will get this. Print the License Agreement if you want, but make sure you agree, , and then click and you will get this and then it will change to something like this. Do not be concerned if the progress bar jumps back like this All it means is that it misjudged the speed of your PC   Eventually, EG 5 minutes later, you will get this. Click and you have installed the dot Net framework. NB This only has to be done once. Any dot Net application can now just be copied into the correct location and it should work, assuming its other requirements are met.   mySQL ODBC Driver If you already use mySQL you can probably jump to Profits Check Application installation. In Windows explorer find and double click MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.exe or MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.msi and follow the instructions which are much like the above.   Profits Check Application All you need to do is copy this list of files to C:\StoreManager\ProfitsCheck Interop.Excel.dll MONEY.ICO ProfitsCheck.exe UploadEPOS.mdb To make your life easier it would probably be a good idea to create a shortcut on your desktop and or in Quick Launch to C:\StoreManager\ProfitsCheck\ProfitsCheck.exe, but other than that the application is installed now.   Return to list of Help Manuals   ©Storecheck Marketing Ltd, 2007 No part of this document may be reproduced without express permission in writing from the Managing Director of Storecheck Marketing Ltd
